Mad Alice presents a wonderful new play for children ages 7yrs and over & family audiences.

​

Inspired by the much loved nonsense verse & poetry of such Greats as Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, Ivor Cutler & Lennon!  It tells the story of an eccentric lady, Gertie, who meets an equally absurd ukulele playing scarecrow, George, on her way to the supermarket and the frolicking foray of folly and fun that ensues! Enjoy their encounters with a friendly ‘Porcupine’, join them in a dance with ‘The Man in The Moon’, share in a slice of  ‘Frivolous Cake’, and, perhaps it may even be ‘You Who Are A Walrus?!’.

Performance duration: approx. 50mins (no interval).Available for both indoor and outdoor touring.

YULE TIDE TALES

Available throughout NOV/DEC2023

Mad Alice Theatre Company presents its highly successful simple story telling show for Christmas:

​

Sitting on a yule log as if around a gently crackling, winter fire, the actors tell seasonal stories interspersed with songs and poems.The repertoire of stories includes Christmas favourites as well as stories from other cultures and countries relating to the time of year and festive themes. Mad Alice's distinctive style of story telling allows plenty of scope for audience participation and fun.

Yule Tide Tales is adaptable to any school hall, community centre, church, cathedral and village hall. We also tour the show to main theatres.

​

We have separate shows for 4-7yrs (Reception & KS1) & 8-11yrs (KS2) & we also do a performance for

family audiences. Each performance has stories/poems/songs tailored for the specific audience & age range.

WINTER TALES

A WINTER TALES version, focusing more on the season of Winter,  is available throughout January, February & March 2023/24.

​
