Cuddy & His Mates
A new play inspired by the return of The Lindisfarne Gospels to Durham in 2013.
Written & Directed by Trevor MacFarlane, from an original idea by Julie Ward.

Meet Cuthbert the country lad, Bede the bookish one, and Godric a daredevil who later became a pirate-adventurer. The play tells of their childhood escapades before monastic life and how they ran their mothers ragged just like children do!
Cuthbert is always bringing home pet snakes and injured eaglets, Bede is obsessed with history and never stops asking questions, Godric loves dressing up and having mock sword-fights! Saints are remembered and revered because of their holiness but, like us, they were all young once.
This wonderful production includes an original sound score of Northumbrian pipe music.
Performance duration approx. 50 mins – no interval.

Successfully toured the North East & Cumbria for approx. 8 wks in summer/autmn 2014
