SAMBARAMA!!!

IN SPRING 2015 MAD AICE THEATRE COMPANY

in partnership with LEISUREWORKS and JACK DRUM ARTS presented

                                    SAMBARAMA!

An exciting, fun, energizing and creative project for children ages 6 -12 yrs at Blackhill Comrades Club.

Evening sessions were held throughout term as well as sessions during the Easter holidays.

40 children, who joined the project having had taster sessions in their schools, worked with professional actors, musicians and artists, learned Samba drumming and  drama and made their own carnival mask, created their own play and performed to friends and families.Some children also achieved their ‘Arts Award Awards,<empty>

Children tried new things, discovered new talents, felt good, laughed, boosted their confidence and surprised themselves.

THE PROJECT WAS FUNDED BY DERWENT VALLEY AREA ACTION PARTNERSHIP For children living in the Derwent valley AAP area.
